What should I do after moving to a new place? How to get settled?
I was born and raised in the same place my whole life so I'm not quite sure where to start out in a new place. Also since my son was born I've been a full time working mom. My question is I guess where do we start getting settled and what is there to do with a toddler that is inexpensive and good for their development?
Hi Amber, I realize that you posted this a while back, and I'm sorry you haven't gotten any replies to your questions.
Have you thought about connecting with a church in your area? That might be a good way to start meeting new people and getting involved in your community.
Also, if you're looking for some tips on raising a toddler, and fun activities you can do with your son, you might want to check out the articles on Focus on the Family's website here: http://bit.ly/K8v4mE
I work at Focus and they have some very helpful parenting info on their site.
I agree your church community is a good place to start. Also try your public library. As a single parent with a limited income I had to find places to go that were free, the library not only has their own activity schedule but can link you ti other things. Home depot and lowes is always having kiddie workshops. Good luck and God bless!
