Having babies at 60 years old
| Have you read the news of a 60 years old woman giving birth to twins?
I don't know the specific but I would assume there were donor eggs. I don't have any strong opinion because at 60 you can still be very energetic I am just thinking that when she will be 80 years old her kids would have not even graduated from college!

I saw that on the news yesterday, and some woman was saying the kids should be taken away because she is so old. 1st of all, my mom is 60. when we spend the weekend at her house, we're almost not allowed to touch Logan, she does everything. Also, when grandpa munster had a baby at 80, everyone thought it was a great accomplishment. Is it because he's famous or a man that it's ok for him, but not the 60 year old womat?

People today live longer but in reality at 80 years old I don't think, many men or women, are able to keep up with the demand of a 20 years old. My best friend was born when her mother was in her mid-forties, her mother is now 86 years old, for so much she is having a long lie for the past 10 years my friend had to deal with all her mother health problems to the point of paralyzing her llife.
The woman who had kids at 60 years old she had already two grown up children and one of 6. Is she expecting her older kids to take care of the young one in case of something happening to them?
I am just wondering about wanted to defy nature...

My husband actually knew her... used to date her daughter. He said she was nice, but a little loopy. She was always trying to save her marriage by having babies... that's never a good idea!

I think it is very selfish to have babies at that age. First there is the problem of possible complications with pregnancy and childbirth, then keeping up with a toddler, then being close to 80 when they graduate from high school. Those children will be faced with losing their parents at a very young age. Maybe they think that once a child is 18 he doesn't need his parents anymore, but that is not true. I am an adult and still love and rely on my parents. It is not fair to the children. Wanting another playmate for the 6 year old is not a good enough reason to have a child at 60. Lots of people have only one child. It's not like it's necessary to have more than one.
