when do you or do youever give your baby just a serving of baby food?  now she gets food/cereal after her 2 bottles a day. when does hse just get food? and wehn can she start eating our food. jsut little bites here and there? the closest theing she has had is gerber graduates puffs. she is 6 1/2 months old.

Hi Devon,
From what my ped says, babies should have formula/breastmilk until 1 year or sometimes longer. If she is doing well chewing you can try some other foods. Here is a site that I have passed along a few times to show what they shouldnt be eating.

PS: you may want to check with your ped to be sure of what she can have and how much formula she should be drinking.

She can start eating our food abot 8-9 months but things like mash taters, applesauce, and if you have a food processor you can also purree the food. I would give my son one jar of baby food and 6oz bottle and sometimes he would eat it all and sometimes he would only eat the baby food and drink 3 oz. It just all depends on how hugry your child she is.
