| Nap Time |
| last thursday i started to let ella cry it out in her crib for nap times bc it was getting ridiculous during nap time and at night. so, she has taken every nap but 2 in her crib. and it has been very hard. i want to pick her up. her dad even did it on friday! that shocked me. bc he said i would have to be the mena one on this one bc he doesnt think its neccesary yet. he thinks its tourcher. HA!!!! its not tourcher! making me hold her 24/7 for everytihng is tourcher!!! not htat i dont love her to death. but holding a 16 pound weight all day gets old, really quick. i literally have to put bengay on my bakc and arms EVERY NIGHT bc im so sore from holding her all day. so i told him unless he is going to quit his job and hold her all day, it was happening and it is happneing until she goies to sleep on her own. this moring seh only took about 5 minutes to fall asleep and i jsut sat in hte rocker talking to her once in a while and she fell asleep and 1 hour later seh is still seleping. its hard to believe that it will get better, but i know it will. i jsut have to be patient.patience is not my strongest point. lol has anyone else done this? how long does it take to have them not scream for 15 minutes? |

| My son goes through phases of sleeping well and then sometimes he cries when I lay him down. When that happens I have to remember that he can go to sleep on his own and it is not hurting him to let him cry for 15 minutes. If he seems really upset, I go in and comfort him verbally. That usually helps and he will either lay down quietly for a little while or go to sleep. Either way he is resting and able to soothe himself. Have faith in yourself that you are doing the right thing, and you will get through it, and so will your daughter. |

| thank nyou marcia. its hard sometimes, but hten i think of holding her all the time and never being able to put her down, no thanks. i actually got my dishes done this morhning with out having to stop and go to ella or worry about making too much nose now that sheis upstairs in her crib its so much easier. this is the right thing!!! |
