| Frustrated with 16 yr old son |
| What makes the situation so bad is that my own Mother will not stand behind me and help me enforce my rules! Instead she is giving in to him and letting him do whatever he wants and then makes excuses for him! This has been ongoing for about as long as my son knew how to talk. He learned how to manipulate grandma at a young age. She has always shown favortism to him and my other kids see that. I am ready to just give up and let him go live with her so i can have some peace! I'm up for hearing any comments or ideas.Thanks! |

Remind your mother to behave with him the same way she behaved with you when you were 16. I am sure she was not so leniant!
Tell her that spoling him ultimately damage him and that is not what a "good" grandmother ought to do! (Make her feel she bares some responsability for his behavior) .

| omg im in the same predicament but with my husband.he has 2 girls that live with us.i feel like when i go to punish them he goes behinde my back and lets them do what they want and get away with it.they r very spoiled daddys girls.i feel like i have no say so in punishing them.if things dont change,im afraid our marriage wont last much longer.if u have any advise please help me.thanx. |
