First Entry! - Balance

Greetings!

I was trying to come up with my first blog entry, and I started to ponder "balance".  I suppose it's because I was putting an awful lot of pressure on myself to come up with something brilliant in a short amount of time, so you would be interested in reading it, and so that I could get back to work quickly.  Then I said to myself, "Self, slow down, relax, and just write from my heart," so that is what I'm going to do.

Trying to achieve balance has always been paramount in my life, possibly because I'm a Libra.  Recently, balance has been MIA, though.  It's just not that easy to strike a balance between family, work, and spare time.  Raise your hand if you know what I'm talking about.  Those of you who are not raising your hands are wondering what exactly this "spare time" I speak of is, aren't you?

I feel that way, too.  Lately, even my spare time is spent doing work for my new business.  I've been trying to find the time for blogging, but to no avail, so today I decided to make the time for it!  So in honor of my birth month (this Thursday's my 30th :| birthday!), I'm going to actively take steps toward balancing my life, starting with taking back some of my free time to do the things I want to do.  I wonder if this will ultimately make me more productive?  How will you strive for balance in October (the month of the Libra)?

Danielle, Balance is an admirable quality in anyone, but it is an especially admirable quality in a woman. We are taken advantage of, mostly by ourselves, with how much we expect to accomplish in one day. It's no wonder Excedrin Migraine makes a fortune every year on women (among other well known OTC temporary solutions to our own balancing act dilemmas). Happy Birthday. I admire your drive, your achievements, and your candor. Best of luck in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Jamie A. (Scottsdale, AZ)
