Leaking Diapers - would love suggestions
I have been using Target Brand diapers lately (we used Pampers until son was 6 months, but they are so darned expensive).

My son is 14 months and he pees so much at night that he tends to leak through his diaper quite often. I am sick of washing his sheets every other day (or sometimes every day if he leaks). Does anyone know of a diaper that is great for night sleeping (he sleeps 10 hours, on his tummy, so often it leaks in his front). I am about ready to scream. I have tried decreasing his fluid intake a few hours before he goes to bed, but it does not really help much.

Thanks for your suggestions.

the "White Clouds" brand, found in Walmart has worked really well for both my little boys, and they are reasonably priced compared to the other name brands.

Hope this helps!

It seems I went thru that with my son who is 21 months...My suggestion is to buy huggies natural care and cut coupons..I do so every week just for the diapers and wipes.

You know my son is 9 months old and he soaks his diaper half way through the night or even when we were out changed him twice in like less than three hours because he was wet on his shirt. I currently am using the wal mart and huggies cruisers and they both do the same thing leak. There grandmom used to use one size up at night and regular size in the day time. Maybe I will use that method again. My son is a chunker he is like 23lbs at 9 months so he is in size 4. I like huggies they seemed to work well. `

I'm a nanny for a 6mth old and we were having the same problem. Huggies overnights work amazing!!! There kinda expensive, but you only need one a night. I got a pack of 62(i think, around that) and they were $18.97 at walmart!

Luvs have never let me down. They are inexpensive, and have stretchy sides now which makes them great. I find coupons all the time, too, which helps a lot.

I use the White Cloud for Walmart and that is all I use and I love them. I've tried pampers (too expensive), luvs (fills up to fast), and the store brands leak all the time. My suggestion is White Cloud. Trust me they work.

I know Pampers are expensive, but they are it in our house. With our first baby I tried ALL the diapers (leaked and not as dry so rashes prevailed), but Pampers are the best so haven't varied at all with our second baby. Worth the extra $$. Coupons help, but the pay off is really in a dry night's sleep, and no itchy bottoms.

Does the Huggies Ovenights come in a small enough size for a 23 lb boy? I looked at Target today and couldn't find them.

His Pampers leaked too, so I am not sure what is the deal.

my friend puts one size too big on and then cuts out hte crotch of another diaper and puts it inside the crotch of the diaper hes wearing. so when they do leak it goes to the other diaper.

I buy the brand name or overnight diapers for night time and shopping trips and use the generics during the day at home. Mine stopped peeing so much once they got off the bottle. I used to put them to bed with a bottle and they filled up their diapers nightly.

When my daughter was in diapers (she is 4 now) I had good luck with kirkland brand diapers.. I used to use the pampers cruisers and they worked great then i tried the kirkland brand from costco and they worked just as well as the cruisers.. Never had any luck with huggies, white cloud or luvs...

Luvs have worked GREAT for my two boys. Watch the sales, you can get a big box for as cheap as 14.50 at Target

I've used LUVS for all 3 of my kids they are pretty cheap and work great! I recommend them to everyone.

I agree with some of the other moms, Try to up the size of his diaper, my son was constantly wetting the sheet, I used huggies and I loved them and I too cut coupons. If that doesn't work maybe try those rubber pants over top of the diaper. I know they sell them at target. It may help to keep that wetness in until morning. Good luck!

My 18 month was recently waking up in the morning with a heavy saturated diaper that had soaked through to his clothes and i am sure that was why he was waking so early. My pedi recommended huggies overnights- and it works- they are great! And because you only use one a night, a packet lasts a while. Definetly worth the money. I use regular huggies diapers in the day and find them great too. Also, try using the next diaper size up. Hope this helps!

LUVS work great, if they leak go to a bigger size. We're using Huggies Pullups for night in 2t-3t, most nights they don't leak.

I have used Luvs with both my boy and have had no problems with leaking. Luvs are fairly inexpensive and if you watch Shopko or Target you can usually get a big box for $15.

My 2-year-old has had problems with leaking diapers at night for about a year. I put two Huggies on him at bedtime and that helps!

We use the Huggies Overnites and they work great!! Even though they didn't have the size for her weight, we used the smallest size and had no problems. I no longer have to change the sheets and her pjs every morning.
