| What I miss the most... |
| I miss being able to go out with my hubby for dinner (just the two of us) and not be worrying or thinking about our son. We use to be able to talk about current events, etc. and now all we talk about is who is going to change our sons' diaper or how much formula we have left in the pantry. Being a SAHM, I also miss my job, which I loved. I miss getting all dressed up for work and going out with my friends after work for dinner or a drink. I've basically given up alcohol altogether because it overtires me, which we all know is the exact opposite of what we need to get through the week. I guess when you become a SAHM, you oftentimes lose your former identity and take on a whole new identity. This meant, for me, losing a lot of my single friends and having to search out mommies like me. That was probably the hardest thing of all. It is so hard to find moms out there, with kids around the same age as yours, and that you also get along with. That is probably the biggest struggle! |
