Alternative to baby wipes

I can see how useful baby wipes sre but I did not use them on my kids when they were infants (expect if we were on the road). I bought some kind of dry cloth (the same they use in the NICU) that you wet with water.

However, a more practical alternative might be to cut in two paper towel and wet them in the water. It works just the same!

It seems that water can not really damage a baby skin as much as the "stuff" they put on baby wipes.

This is good to know, my daughter gets horrible diaper rashes, I always assumed that I HAD to use a wipe to make sure I got everything off, but my poor baby would scream in pain. I'm going to start using warm wet wash clothes instead I think, maybe it won't aggravate the skin so much.

Hi April,

you should also put some cream to calm the rash (ask your pediatrician for advice or a mom).
