Need help finding good day care!

I am a single mother of a 1 year old girl who is looking for day care. I had a bad experience when I was younger so I am scared to have someone watch her that I don't know. I know word of mouth is the best so if anyone is near the Annapolis Maryland area and knows of a good center or home please let me know. Thank you
