Stop the unpacking for at least a hour a day to have a "normal life". Take the kids to the playground or go the movie. In other words take a break otherwise it becomes really overwhelming!
* Use Penske and NOT UHaul. UHaul has tons of law suits on them and you aren't getting a new vehicle. Penske has better realibility and are easier to deal with.
* Get old blankets and such and use them as well as bubble wrap for furniture that is being moved. You can always wash them again at the new place.
* Storage companies depend on where you are going. If you are talking about just moving it and leaving it then try PODS. Otherwise save money and deliver it right to your place first thing.
Where are you moving too? A lot of churches have playgroups for kids that don't require you to be a member. You could attend once and see if anyone has kids your age. As far as packing is concerned, I have moved around alot and find it easiest to have a duffel bag for each member of the family. Pack that as if you were going on vacation for 2-3 days. Be sure to include any important paperwork and medication. Also pack an activity bag for the kids with things to keep your kids busy along with some snacks. Be sure to unpack one box at a time so you are not overwhelmed too.
