Persian Parents is a group of Persian Parents primarily (but not exclusively) to meet on line. We have many spouses that are not Persians and we have quite a bit of friends that are not Persians as well but wanted to join our group.
"Persian Parents" is a venue where our members have a sense of "home" to go to. This is a support group that helps families enjoy all aspects of life not just parenting. It is a community that helps with information that ranges from keeping the Persian heritage and teaching its culture to sharing any and all day to day information online. We are open minded and none judgemental. All parents are welcome! So far we have close to 300 members in 5 countries and growing.
Please pass the word to your friends so our group can grow. I hope the information shared can enrich us all.
Those of us in Southern CA (SCA) meet regularly. Each week, we organize unique events /experiences which include picnics for the whole family, different classes from a gym, Persian dance, music and dance classes, yoga, painting/art, museums, botanical gardens, aquarium, butterfly exhibit, arboretum, exercise walks by the beach, toddler park on the pier in Santa monica, concerts, educational or just fun stuff. Also we may do things 1 - 3 x a week and I know that can be too much for some people so it is up to them to pick and choose which they want to join. We do this so that those who can't make it to one come to another.
We also organize dinner for couples at night so our group can meet oneanother, cooking classes, wine tasting and mom's night out. These events are usualy in the evening without the children.
Whomever can make it to any of these events come. There are absolutely no obligations or prerequisites for membership to attend any of these functions.
