I have a 9yr old who is gaining weight faster than he is trying to lose it. I worry about him because of all the hype about obesity in the schools. I am afraid that his self-confidence is going down due to an incident just the other day. His class went to a local hotel to go swimming and he begged me to bring a shirt so his belly didn't show..I was in tears after he walked out the door.. He is joining foot-ball this fall and can't wait but what about changing in the locker rooms? Will there be crude and rude remarks..? Like I said before he is a very active and creative boy that doesn't need this kind of treatment.. I am also wondering if there are any support groups out there for parents of obese kids..Rebee
