What are RaisingThem Lists?
RaisingThem Lists are a fun new way to share information with friends and fellow parents. List can be used for "Top 10" lists, "Best of" lists, "Favorites" lists, or simply to collect information about places or things or products and share it with others.
You can create a list by selecting a list type and adding items to your list. You can browse existing lists, comment on them and rate them.
What are the lists about? What topics?
Your list can be about anything you want, such as favorite children books, best diaper brands, best pediatricians, favorite cooking recipes... really just about anything!
I found a great list. Can I add to it?
Yes, that is the fun part. You can add items to a list, or just rate the list (1-5 stars) or post a comment. Lists can be very interesting (and surprising!) when they come from a team effort.
Can I prevent others from adding to my list?
Yes, when you create a list (or change it later) you can decide if others can add to it or not. If you do allow others to add, they won't be able to delete or change what you have entered.
Can I make a copy of a list so I can modify it?
The ability to copy and modify lists will be available soon. In the mean time, if you find a list you would like to copy, send a note to Customer Service and we'll make a copy for you.
Once you have your own copy of the list you can change it however you wish.
I belong to a group, can I make a private list?
Yes, if you create a list inside your group, you can opt to have the list "restricted" to group members. Non-members will not be able to see the list, and the list will not be displayed in the main List section.
Can I use lists to recommend products and services?
Yes, you can use lists to recommend any product or service for as long as your list brings some value to other parents. For example if you have reviewed products or services and bring some insight about which one is better and why, then it is a great list idea. However, lists are not a way to advertise your business. If you just want to get the word out about your business, please use the Classifieds.
Can I use affiliate links in my lists?
Yes, you can use affiliate links. But make sure your list brings some added value so it will display in the main List section.
Are there any restrictions to list content?
When you build a list, please make sure that any content is suitable for a general audience. Any offensive content will be removed with notice.
