| I am a happily married, professional mother of 3 grown children and 1 step son. The step son is the "challenge" in our lives. My "boomerang" son is temporarily living with us. He is the "frustration" for me on a daily basis. Both are strong willed people. I would like to blog with other parents in similar situations. |

| My husband, Phil, and I have been married 3 years. We have been "together" for 7. His son, Garin, is 14 yrs old. Phil and I never fight about anything, except, Garin. He is a very strong willed child, spoiled, and lives with us full time. His bio mom lives across the country and is unavailable, physically and emotionally. He does not like me. I am the evil step-mother!
My 3 grown children love my husband and call him Dad. My daughter, Janell and Son-in-law, Brandon, have 2 boys. They live nearby and I have a very close relationship with them. My son, Jacob, is a "boomerang" child. He is temporarily living with us, but has no motivation to get up and out. This frustrates me because he is very intelligent and could be doing so much better. He is also strong willed. My youngest son, Joseph, is serving in the army, recently married, living in Hawaii and just informed me that they are expecting their first child! Phil and I are very close, emotionally, with them. Every single time he sees Phil, he says, "Thank you for taking care of my mom." |
