You have been waiting for this moment for a long long time and now the baby is finally here!
It's a wonderful experience, but it's a bit more difficult than what you had anticipated.
Here are few must-have items that can make a new mom's life a lot easier.
The only one of those that I've ever had was a diaper bag. I think the only things needed for a new baby are some clothes, diapers (unless you are going to be doing elimination communication, and then even the diapers aren't needed!), a car seat, and a sling or wrap.
I had a couple of things on that list but found many of them to be a waste of space and my child didn't like them. He hated his crib so a mobile was pointless, he sleeps with us.
My son is 9 months old and when I was pregnant I read every "must have" list and bought all these things for my newborn. Some of them are worth it, he liked the swing and the bouncy seat, and his crib mobile. But every list has a baby bath on it. That was the absolute worst investment I ever made. It wasn't expensive or anything, but it takes up so much space and is pretty much useless. It was so much easier and more convenient to put him in the kitchen sink!
I think its so funny the way these days we have all these MUST HAVE items for baby, but seriously, what did our parents do when they had us without all these things? We turned out alright!
I think that the new mom must haves depend on the mom, the baby and your lifestyle. I used a I had most of the things on the list and I have two kids. Both kids liked the swing but they hated the bounce chair. my son loved the activity mat but my daughter could care less about it. I didn't have a baby bath for my first born (son) but got one for my daughter so that my son could help with his sister's bath. The bath was only used for a short time so I would try to get one passed down or used. ( I know that it was only like $20 but since you don't use it that long and the used one will look the same as the new one I bought, I should have got it used). The diaper bag or something big to hold the diapers, wipes, extra clothes and what ever else you bring with you is a must. I would also add the baby bjorn. I liked that carrier the best. I never tried a sling so I guess I could have missed out.
I think this list is a little unusual. I think the only things you 'need' are diaper bag, diapers, clothes, burp cloths - and if your baby is a chucker you may need lots ot these, car seat, stroller and/or sling/pouch, hand cleaning gel (to use when you are out and about) and a whole lot of love. There are lots of baby things on the market that may be nice to have but you will probably never use and most of the things on this list fall into that category.
The list needs some changes. All you really need is a crib, basic sheets, basic clothing for newborn ( not too many, because baby grows up very fast!), you may consider a plastic bathtub, diapers, diaper bag. If you are going to feed with formula, you need baby bottles, I recommend Aveno. There are too many things on the market and first time parents tend to fall for them, you end up using just a few of them.

I apologize, I made a mistake with the baby bottle's name, I ment AVENT.
