I just used a lot of praise and waited till she was ready We had a little potty for half a year before my daughter decided she was ready and I didn't force it. She also liked the seat that you put on the potty better at first, now she likes to go back and forth between the two. She pretty much trained herself and we only put her in panties after starting, no diapers(only at night) or pull-ups. After a couple months, she doesn't even wear diapers at night. Praise, praise, praise and wait until they are ready
