urban fantasy--4 1/2 stars. First of a four book series, "Blood Ties". I loved this book and look forward to reading the others in the series. I'm not thrilled it took place in my home state of Michigan (only about 1-2 hours away from where I live even), since I tend to like to think there are no vampires anywhere near here LOL.
