Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 6)
by J.R. Ward
J. R. Ward did a fantastic job with Lover Enshrined. Her development of Phury and Cormia, (physically, mentally, sexually) is extraordinary. Phury's ability to defeat his addiction and schizophrenia and Cormia's awakening to a different world are explored wonderfully.

With the new recruits of John Matthew, Qhuinn, and Blay, we see the next generation of the Brotherhood start to emerge. The return of Torhment (by the fallen angel Lassiter) was a cause for rejoicing.

The new development with the Omega and Lash is so evil and brings the war to an unprecedented level. A Vampire Lesser with a heart that beats! Lash never complained when he was called back to his father, the Omega. He only rejoiced with the new skills he had received.

More insight into the life of Rehvenge and Xhex. The sacrifice he makes to protect Xhex; at the same time finding enjoyment in the horror.

We learn the Scribe Virgin does make mistakes. Phury turns her precious white, unsullied world upside down, inside out and into a rainbow. He rules as the Primale and knows without a doubt that in order for the species to survive, change must happen.

How could you read those last few pages and not have tears running down your cheeks when Zsadist came to Phury singing Che Gelida Manina? It was the most beautiful moment of the entire novel! All of the brothers are rejoined and you know, without a doubt, the Brotherhood will survive.Quote-right
