My name is Tonya and I am the creator of this site. I am a 28 year old stay at home mom. I am?married to the greatest man and have four lovely daughters. My passion for music and photography has inspired me to create this site, and is not just what I do but who I am. One of my first memorable gifts as a child was from my father, a camera loaded with film and a subscription to a photography magazine. All of which I used until it fell apart. My passion for music comes from my mother whom always had music playing. I was introduced to many types of music and photography growing up. Some I liked and some I did not. But no matter where I go or where life takes me the two have always followed and been a part of who I am. In the past year I have been asked by family and friends to make videos for them and their special events?and have done so with out charge and with great honor. The greatest honor of all was when my aunt asked me to put together a video for my grandmother’s retirement celebration. By the time we chose the photos we wanted to use there were more than 200 photos. The next challenge was to implement the music that best represented my grandmother and her achievements. That was fun! I cut and mixed over 20 songs to create this amazing keepsake. As a gift to my grandmother to celebrate all her successes we presented the video to her with every friend and family who had come to?celebrate with her that evening. As I sat in the corner I watched her, my grams, cry. Not with tears of sadness but of joy and amazement at how wonderfully we had captured her life. Later my grams came to me privately and said "Thank You! I never could have asked for a better gift...This is amazing and I Love you!" I hugged her and wiped the tears from my own face, I was never so happy to be her grandchild or more proud of my own creation . Everyone I've done a video for has commended me on my attention for detail and amazing work and all had suggested I make a career of it. People I did not know were asking me if this was my job. I would answer "No, I just do it as a hobby". Thus Musical Memories Today was created.
