I breastfeed to keep baby and myself healthy. It speeds up my metabolism, increases seratonin levels, and it really keeps me in check as far as my diet because it gives me more reason to eat healthier. I take a vitamin and mineral supplement daily. I also set my daily alarm on my cell phone to remind me to do Yoga! It works too, I just tell the kids that I need this time to help me be happier and that they should play on their own during this time. I turn on FIT TV for a half hour of Namaste yoga, it really brings peace to my day!
how great to be modeling this "taking time for ourselves" for our kids. i am taing a yin yoga class that i love once a week when the kids are in school. it seems to be really helping me open to my yin or feminine/receiving nature. are there any other moms out there that feel as i do, that in todays world, as women, our 'yang" sides are being asked to be more active than one might think...given we are women?
