What are the issues you are up against?? My daughter went through a really rough divorce last year with somewhat of a battle with her ex about her son.. More of the mother in law demanding stuff about the grandson, but made it sound like her ex wanting custody.. all the same, it's still an ugly battle that should not happen...

Well for about 4 years now my daughter has come back from her visits with unusual bruises, illness, bladder problems, etc. I've reported a couple times to family services, but is always unfounded. When I try to take her to the doctor, her dad always stands in the way and even filed a motion so that I can't take her to the doctor without the approval of the guardian ad litem. I've spent thousands and now the attorneys are trying to get me to move across the state line to move closer to where he lives.
It's a mess and I'm tired. I just want my daughter to be healthy and happy.

Have you tried to get a restaining order or protection from abuse warrent from your courthouse? When I was assaulted in 2004, I went to Women Against Rape and the couseling and legal help was free. I will say more than a few prayers for you and your daughter and please know that this unbearable time in your life will pass. Get any kind of help you can and fast. Yes, I tried a year ago to get a restraining order, the judge wouldn't renew after 30 days and we were back in the same boat. The trouble is that the original order was in a county across the state line from where we live now. I've tried to get it moved, but to no avail. Thank you for your prayers and kind response - I really appreciate it.

Wonderful suggestions/ideas to pass along.. Support groups offer so much help when you are going through this.. They help you to sort out things, and the proper way to react to things.. I call it "getting help from outside the bubble you are in"... Again, great ideas!!
Thank you so much, I will check into the support group. Both of your responses make me feel like someone actually cares about my daughter and me. I talked to my attorney today and we are going to try mediation one more time to see if we can avoid going to trial. So I need all the prayers I can get, thank you!
