help! Please!
Hello everyone! My name is Sheryl. I am a mother of 2 boys. Keanon is 9 and Hunter is 7. I stay home a watch my friend's 2 boys.
So I guess that is where my question lies. The boys that I watch are 1 and 4. I love both of them boys! But the 4 year old is a handful!! He does not respect anything that I have! He throws fights and hits my things. He has broken some of my things because he was mad. He can be a GREAT kid! As long as you don't make him mad. If I tell him he can't do something... as soon as mom gets here ... he does it. I explain to him he can't... he still does. I don't know what to do any more. The rules don't have to be followed. And it is really hard because his mom and I are friends. He has hit me and kicked me. I have tried everything I can think of. But I am just out of ideas on how to deal with him. If any one has anything... Please help!!

I have had kids like this....I make them my helper. It sounds like a low self esteem.Give him little chores..pass out napkins, throw away trash, bring blankets in for the small ones and then praise praise praise...I t take a little time but it makes him feel special...praise him to the other children and everyone will want to do well.catch him being good and compliment him in front of the other children.Let me know if this turns him around ...if not we will go to plan B he has to go.

Thank-you, Regina! I will try that! I totally agree with the low self esteem thing! I know enough about him and I am around him enough to agree with you on that... though I never thought about that. So, thank-you for the advice as well as the eye opener!
