anyone live in nyc on in the grammercy, murray hill, union sqaure area looking for a playdate for their newborn child? my son is 8 weeks old and i would love to meet someone with a baby boy or girl in his age range . anyone know if any groups that meet up in these neighborhoods? thanks michele

Hi! I'm not exactly in your area, (I'm in Astoria, NY) but I'm also looking to find a playgroup/playdate. My daugther is 7 weeks old. If you have found any good sites or groups can you let me know?

For great playdates in your area, go to www.meetup.com and search for playdates, or stay at home moms in your area. Hope this helps!

I agree meetup.com is great. You can also try themommiesnetwork.com and see if there is a local group in your area...this site is awesome if you have one in your area. They have playdates arranged by when your child starts Kindergarten.
