Isn't learning to share fun???
Just wanted to share a little thought on what ALL of us I'm sure are going through! Isn't it great how one minute your little angel is sharing so well... being thoughtful and nice... and then WHAM! The next thing you know they are grabbing toys and saying no! This is where we breathe and say... this is all normal right?? OK so maybe we don't always do that but we really should!! Our little ones are having power struggles...with themselves AND everyone else!! They are on this journey of learning how to cope with being human.... so mammas... enjoy the ride! :)

My son not only thinks all toys are his, he is starting to think places are to. We have a Children's museum in our town and when we drive by I will say "oh look at all the buses of school kids at the museum today" and he will respond with
MY MUSEUM!

My son is the same way, the playground is his or swing or whatever and mostly he will share but he is definately having that internal struggle.

My son is 2 and my daughter is about 8 months. Since they are so close in age, he remembers a lot of the toys that were his but are geared for an infant. It's silly to buy rattles and teethers and colorful balls etc . . . more than once but, it creates a little issue when he realizes they were his. He has even gone as far as sitting in his (now her) exersaucer. Ahhh, the joys of parenthood! ;)

Oh my!! And I wondered about that should we be blessed with a second child... I can totally see my daughter doing that... well I guess i could see her doing it now, maybe not by the time we actually had our second... whenever that is!! But yes we have kept almost everything to reuse... we'll see I guess :)

Sarah is the same way, but if she wants something she says its my turn. Everything is my turn.

My almost 2 year old daugher is actually pretty good about sharing. She and her cousin are only 5 months apart (my dd is younger) and have pretty much spent nearly every day together. So they are both used to sharing thier toys with each other. Now when her other cousin comes over (he's a boy and 3 weeks younger) she doesn't share so well. It may be because she isn't as used to him.

The sitter reports that she shares pretty well with all the kids but moreso with girls than boys.

We shall see what the future brings. Maybe she just hasn't hit that stage yet.
