i have a soon-to-be 3rd grade daughter.

in August we will journey into 3rd grade. She is growing up before my eyes. i am so happy and yet sad. She is our 'only' also.

Hi Amy, It is tough watching them grow up and reach this milestone! 3rd grade is a transitional year, more learn, less play. I just went through all the "big kid" 3rd grade stuff with my oldest, and now we're looking forward to 4th grade for her and kindergarten for my youngest daughter. * Sigh* I'm just like you, happy and excited and sad all at the same time...
