TOW-Does your teenager understand......

today's economy? the high price of gas and why? Does your teenager care about what is going on?

I don't completely understand the economy myself, but I know enough to help my kids understand that a change in one part of the country's financial structure affects the other parts of the structure as well. Neither teen seems to care beyond a sense of "this is cramping my style." I think part of that stems from the feeling that they can't do anything about it so why worry about it.
