Introducing Myself
Hello all. My son, Lex, is 17 months old. He's a such a blessing in my life and in many ways a teacher to me. My first lesson from him was to be resourceful and never give up. This happened when he was first born and I wasn't able to lactate. He is allergic to cows milk and refuses soy, so he couldn't have traditional formula. But learning from him and the new experiences of being a mother, I adapted and worked with a nutritionist to create a homemade baby formula. Fast forward to today, he's healthy and HAPPY. Loves to dance and doesn't do much in the form of talking. He giggles and hums melodies. I'm teaching him english and spanish because we are hispanic. He responds well to my talking to him, like when I change his diaper -- I'll give it to him and say basura (garbage) and he'll throw it away. I'm also working with him on sign language. So far he knows comer (eat), mas (more), arriba (up), and por favor (please). I'm also trying to work with the fact that he is a crystal child, I'm trying to incorporate non-verbal communication with him by passing messages to him telepathically. I want to try and encourage him to be everything that he can be and is destined to be. I understand that children don't know that they can't do something until people tell them that they can't. Lex is fearless and never gives up. If I had to use one word to describe him, it would be indefatigable.
