At a young age the most important thing is play. Don't push too soon on schooling them. You can point out letters and say their names and sounds but I wouldn't do any formal schooling till they are older. Lot's of play at this age is the key :). I hope that helps.
I agree with Jody, playing and pointing things out at this age is the best way to start learning. And of course read, read, read, read!
If you would like to try something with a little bit of structure check out Brightly Beaming Baby. It has "curriculum" starting at one year old. And than for 2 and up. I think the "curriculum" for a two year old is a little advanced, in my opinion. But, it can be structured to suit your needs.
